Hibernating and waking a server: step by step
How to freeze a server, check its status, and bring it back online.
Hibernate a server
- Open your server from Services in your client area.
- In the actions panel, choose ❄️ Hibernate instead of Cancel.
- A summary shows your free days remaining and what happens next. Confirm.
- Your server is suspended, billing pauses, and your remaining prepaid time is banked.
While it's frozen
The service card shows a Hibernated status with a day counter and what happens next (free days left, next invoice date, or grace status). Your world is untouched the whole time.
Wake the server
- Open the hibernated service.
- Click Wake server.
- The server resumes, your banked prepaid days are restored, and you're back online — usually within a moment for a freshly paused server.
Eligibility
To hibernate, a service must be active, on a recurring plan, with no unpaid invoice, and active for the minimum period since its last resume. If the Hibernate button isn't available, one of these conditions isn't met yet.
