Refund Policy - Wingnode
At Wingnode, we strive to provide high-quality KVM VPS and gaming services. Due to the nature of digital infrastructure and allocated resources, our refund policy is as follows:
1. General Refund Terms
- No Refunds by Default: All payments made to Wingnode for services (VPS, Game Servers, etc.) are final and non-refundable. Since resources (CPU, RAM, SSD) are reserved specifically for your instance from the moment of purchase, we cannot offer refunds for "change of mind", "accidental orders", or "I don't like it" excuses.
- Partial Payments: As stated in our Terms of Service (Rule 10), any partial payment made towards a billed service is strictly non-refundable.
- Digital Currencies: Payments made via Bitcoin, Ethereum, or other cryptocurrencies are strictly non-refundable due to the nature of the technology.
- Dedicated IPs: Fees for additional dedicated IP addresses are non-refundable once the IP has been assigned to your service.
2. Manual Labor & Custom Work
- Manual Tasks: If Wingnode staff has performed any manual configuration, installation, or custom work at the client's request, and the request has been fulfilled as specified, no refund will be issued under any circumstances.
- Service Fulfillment: Once a custom request is completed and delivered according to the agreed-upon details, the payment for that service is considered fully earned and non-refundable.
3. Exceptional Circumstances
Refunds may only be considered in the following specific cases:
- Technical Failure: If Wingnode is unable to provide the contracted service due to a prolonged internal hardware failure or network issue that exceeds 72 hours of continuous downtime, and we are unable to provide a suitable replacement.
- Double Payment: If a client accidentally pays the same invoice twice, the second payment can be refunded or added to the account balance.
4. Non-Refundable Situations (Strict)
No refunds will be granted if:
- TOS Violation: Your service is suspended or terminated due to a violation of our Terms of Service (e.g., DDoS attacks, resource abuse, fake players, illegal content).
- Network Latency: You experience "lag" or latency issues caused by your own ISP, third-party routing, or unoptimized server-side scripts/plugins.
- IP Blacklisting: You cannot request a refund if the assigned dedicated IP becomes blacklisted on third-party platforms (e.g., Spamhaus, Game Trackers) during your usage.
- Software Incompatibility: You are unable to configure your own software, scripts, or game mods. We provide the hardware and OS; the internal configuration is the user's responsibility.
5. Chargebacks and Disputes
- Immediate Termination: Opening a dispute or chargeback via PayPal, bank, or any payment processor without first contacting Wingnode support will result in the immediate and permanent termination of all active services and a permanent ban from our platform.
- Data Deletion: All data associated with the account will be deleted instantly in the event of a chargeback.
6. Refund Method
- Method of Issue: If a refund is approved by our management, it will be issued either to the original payment method or as Account Credits (Wingnode Balance) at our discretion.
- Transaction Fees: Any transaction fees incurred during the refund process (e.g., PayPal fees) will be deducted from the refund amount.
7. Wingman AI & Token Consumption
- Strict No-Refund Policy: All payments for Wingman AI prompt packages and token refills are 100% non-refundable. Under no circumstances will money be returned to the original payment method once a purchase is made.
- Consumption is Final: Once a prompt is processed, the credits are considered spent. We do not offer refunds if you are unsatisfied with the AI's output, if the prompt was sent by mistake, or if the AI failed to solve your specific problem.
- Technical Failures & Compensation: In the event of a documented failure of the Wingnode internal system (excluding Anthropic API outages or user errors), Wingnode may, at its sole discretion, credit the lost tokens back to the user’s account. This is the only form of compensation available; no monetary refunds will be issued.
- Ineligible for Compensation: Token compensation will NOT be provided for:
- Poor quality responses due to vague or incomplete prompts.
- Errors caused by third-party API (Anthropic) downtime or lag.
- AI "hallucinations" or technical inaccuracies.
- Abuse Bans: If your account is banned for jailbreaking or TOS violations, all remaining tokens are permanently forfeited without refund.
8. Budget VPS Services
- Strict Non-Refundable Nature: All payments for Budget VPS services are strictly non-refundable under any circumstances.
- Prepaid Infrastructure: Due to the nature of our reseller partnership, Wingnode maintains a prepaid balance with the external provider. When a service is purchased, funds are instantly and automatically deducted from our balance to reserve your resources.
- Provider Dependency: Because these funds are immediately committed to the third-party infrastructure, we cannot retrieve them. Therefore, no refunds can be issued for Budget VPS instances, even in cases of downtime, performance dissatisfaction, or cancellation requests.
- Exception: A refund will only be considered if the external provider explicitly grants a refund to Wingnode for your specific instance (which is not standard practice and remains at their sole discretion).
