First steps with the WingNode game panel
A complete tour of the panel: where to find the console, files, schedules, backups and the Wingman AI assistant.
The WingNode game panel is based on Pterodactyl with an upgraded UI and an integrated Wingman AI assistant. This article walks through each tab you'll use daily.
Logging in
After your order is provisioned, you receive an email with the panel URL and your credentials. Log in at panel.wingnode.com and you'll see a dashboard listing all your servers with status indicators (green = online, amber = starting, red = offline).
Main tabs
- Console — live output plus a command input. You'll spend most time here.
- Files — browser-based file manager for
server.properties, plugins, JARs, worlds, configs. - Databases — create MySQL databases for plugins (CoreProtect, LuckPerms, DiscordSRV).
- Schedules — cron-style tasks: restart every 6 hours, backup daily, etc.
- Backups — on-demand and scheduled snapshots.
- Network — additional ports and allocations for extra services.
- Players (game-specific) — in-panel player list, kick, ban and op management.
- Settings — SFTP credentials, reinstall, startup command.
Start / Stop / Kill
Power controls are top-right on every server. Always try Restart before Kill so databases and worlds can flush to disk.
Wingman AI
Bottom-right corner of the panel opens the Wingman AI chat. It sees your current server context — read more in What is Wingman AI.
