Common questions about pausing, billing, data safety and resuming.
Will I lose my world if I pause?
No. Your files, worlds, configs and databases are preserved exactly as you left them and restored when you wake the server.
Do I keep the time I already paid for?
Yes. Remaining prepaid days are banked when you pause and added back to your renewal date when you resume.
How much does it cost?
The first 7 days each year are free. After that, keeping a server frozen costs a small monthly fee (about €1.50–€2.00 per server). See How WingVault billing works.
What happens if I stop paying the fee?
You get a grace period with reminders and the option to pay, wake the server, or download your data. Only after that grace period, if nothing is done, is the frozen server removed to free storage.
Can I pause as often as I want?
You can pause whenever you're eligible, but the free week is once per server per year, and a server must be active for a short time after waking before it can be paused again.
Will my connection address change?
For short free pauses, no. For long-term hibernation your address may change on resume — pairing WingVault with a custom connect domain keeps a stable address for you and your players.
